iron oxide pigments Patent No. U.S. 7,387,671 B2 Lanxess has obtained a patent for a pigment comprised of iron oxide, wherein the pigment has an L*, a* and b* value as measured in a lightened tone in CIELAB units of L*=58 to 62, a*=22 to 27, b*=10 to 24, and wherein the content of the iron oxide is greater than 99% by weight based on the pigment and further wherein the pigment has a mean solids diameter of 10 to 500 μm.
